I am getting a little piffed with my mount. The gears are slipping and making tracking horrendous. It is not possible to get more than a few seconds whereas I need minutes of exposure at a time. I'll have to check the finances to see if I can upgrade this mount to a more professional version.
In the meantime I've taken the camera out into the garden. Would you believe I have a banana plant in full bloom? It even has some thumb sized banana on it! This plant must be several years old now and well out of sync with it's native environment. My guess it had started to bloom towards the end of summer last year and I was not concious of it until this Spring! I wonder how long it will flower for?
